Three years ago, on our last trip to Texas, my daughter and I stumbled upon this old washateria and stopped to take photos. I wrote about it HERE.
Three years later, the washateria was still there, so what else could we do other than stop?
This time we were lucky enough to meet the owner of the washateria...he lives right next door, and he was the mayor of the town for 30 years! He was delightful, and probably would have talked to us all day. He couldn't understand why in the world we would want to take pictures there :)
