Elizabeth has spent weeks searching for the right "save the date" cards for her wedding and couldn't find the perfect one. She was looking for something personal, vintage and meaningful to her. I decided to give it a shot and took some photos of a vintage bride and groom cake topper that we have had for years. I used my VERY limited knowledge of Photoshop to add text, and printed it out for her to see. To my surprise, she loved it, and is going to use it! The photo above is an example of the image and font and color. The real save the date has all the appropriate information on it. We sent the image to the printer yesterday, and should have the cards within a week. One more thing marked off the wedding "to do" list!

how fun for you to be able to use your talent for something so meaningful and important to you.
i hope you enjoy every single detail and moment along the way in the process of creating elizabeth's dream wedding!
blessings,

Very cute! We used a vintage bride and groom on our wedding cake when we got married 22 years ago (it had been on my Aunt & Uncle's cake in the 50's) and I still love it dearly!

It looks great Suzanne...LOVE the vintage bride and groom...and you pulled it together so well with the text. Glad she liked it...from all the little touches you've shared so far, I'm sure the wedding is going to be just lovely in every way! Hang in there!!
I was thinking of you as I was making my plans to head to Round Top and the surrounding area for Antiques Week (Preview week actually) next weekend to celebrate MY 50th birthday...seems like a good place to be when turning 50, wouldn't you say? I can't believe I'm a native Texan and I've never been...SO looking forward to it!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs & Blessings,
Becky

It's the "personal" touches that make a wedding special. How lovely that your daughter appreciates your contribution.

Love it! Isn't it great when our kids "get" our style and actually love it too! Our family is also in the midst of wedding doings. Take a peek... I think you might appreciate our efforts. Happy Wedding Planning!
