Today I was reminded that in 50 days, I turn 50 years old. What once seemed so OLD, now feels so young. So I took this photo on the way out the door to the grocery to remind myself that 50 won’t be so bad. In fact, I’m thinking…the best is yet to come!

I just turned 50 in May.....
At first I dreaded it, then I made peace with it, and now....
I LOVE IT!
I'm so secure in my own skin now.... more than ever in my life.

I think you look fabulous! I am five short years behind you but I will be oh so happy if I look as good as you when I hit the 50 day ~ you are an inspiration to us all! I read your blog avidly but rarely comment ~ just had to let you know how good you look and how much I love reading your blog!

Let me just tell you that 50 is FAB. Turning 40 nearly killed me but turning 50 was a whole different story. Somehow it felt like a coming of age or coming into my own. A little hard to explain but I looked forward to it and have never been so comfortable with who I am.
You are a beautiful woman for ANY age!

You look awesome! I have a year or two yet til 50 and I can only hope to look that good! I do agree that I feel younger and more comfortable with myself now then ever before. Who knew?

As one who will turn 56 next month - age is just a number. I remember thinking that anyone over 40 was old - funny how when you reach those milestones you realise how wrong we were when we were younger. I think once we hit that 50 we get a bit more confidence (if you have been lacking in confidence that is), I now stick up for myself and am not as much of a pushover and even have the courage to tell my older sister what I really think!!LOL

I also turn 50 this year too.( Nov 2) I started a journal the first of the year to post how I was feeling about the big 50. This is the year of ME. I have gave everyone else 50 years, now I am taking some time for me. The next 50 years..... Hope you enjoy your next 50 too!
