My Gardenias are blooming and the yard is filled with delicious-ness. One bloom can scent an entire room!
My oldest Gardenia bush was my grandfathers…it was his favorite. My grandfather has been gone for 41 years, and I have had his Gardenia bush for the past 20 or so years. It’s a bit of pressure when your family heirloom is a living thing! Every year I am grateful when it blooms! It was blooming last week too, when my parents were here, and MY father got to see HIS fathers Gardenia in bloom. It made us both very happy :)
Wishing you all a great weekend!

OMG How special is that! Ahhhh, I can just smell the scent of that beautiful flower from here. Happy weekend.
Hugs,
Rebecca

That is so cool! We have my great grandma's roses and I know what you mean by the pressure of keeping it going! The gardenias are beautiful. Wish they did well here in my part of the country. ~Shelley

Oh, I just LOVE it that you have your grandfather's gardenia bush! I remember when I was very little we had one on the front porch, planted in - of all things - an old washing machine drum. Daddy used what we had on hand!

Do you seriously have that many milk glass bud vases? I've been looking for some in thrift stores. So far only 5. Gardenias smell amazing! They look beautiful in your vases.

That is wonderful! I'd love a gardenia but I don't know if I have the room for them.
