I'm a few weeks behind on the 52Q challenge, with the kids being home, and me being sick, but I will catch up. Actually, I'm a few weeks behind on LIFE in general, but who needs clean towels? Or bread?
No, it's much more fun to justify my need to buy an entire grocery bag full of Plaid stamp books at the flea market, by making this tag. Do you remember these? I remember S&H Green Stamps. I think they may have been from A&P grocery. My mom would let me put them in the books for her...I'll have to ask her if we ever actually redeemed them for a prize. OK, enough procrastinating for today...my laundry awaits...

Hi Suzanne!
I just poured over the recent issue of Artful Blogging magazine. I was totally digging the article about your blog and got really excited when I saw you are from Marietta as well! Couldn't wait to come "meet" you! Love your thoughts and creations! You have a new fan here in Marietta!

I remember Green Stamps- and my Mom "let" me put them in the book. Can you imagine what an awful job that would be for an adult with taste buds?
....cute tag- I think you made a great flea market purchase!

Hi Suzanne hope you are feeling a lot better. I am busy playing catch up on 52Q as well. With Amy's wedding 10 days away I am still busy with preparations for her special day.

Hi Suzanne, Your 52Q responses are works of art...each and every one. I DO remember S&H Green Stamps, the damp sponge in the bowl and lining them up carefully on the page. Mom DID redeem them for a card table and 4 chairs all(including table top) covered in black (cross-hatch) design on white vinyl. I actually saw an identical set in an antique store a few years ago. I was tempted to buy the whole set for nostalgia's sake...I opted not to and was happy to have the memory stirred.
Thank you for sharing your creativity and taking us down memory lane. Oh, great SCORE on the Plaid stamps. Mary

I so feel you on being behind in LIFE , I cant seem to get caught up since my new little guy came along...

Glad you're back at it and feeling better. LOVE this tag ... love anything made from cardboard (never thought of leaves - thanks for the inspiration!)
As soon as I took a peek at the tag, my eyes went to the book of stamps ... sure brought back memories. I remember we got a croquet set once.
PS - aren't these 52Q tags fun?

I too remember S & H green stamps. I loved putting them in the books. I can't remember what my Mom got for them either. Your tag is adorable!

That tag is wonderful! I really love the 52Q project!
I remember Green Stamps. Monday when my mom and I were at Disneyland for her 80th birthday, she told me she had taken us kids there with Greenstamps, years ago. Thanks for your memories of them!
