Life seems hectic these days...no big project underway, just the project of life, and I'm trying to enjoy it. Here are a few pictures I took at my parents house last week...
I don't know what kind of flower this is, but it reminds me of those little paper flower nosegays, with the different colors all on one stem...if you know what this is, please tell me...I want to plant them next year...
Daisy's always remind me of "You've got Mail", one of my favorite movies of all time...
Pink Hydrangeas {sigh}...right up there with pink roses...
My dad is also interested in Hypertufa gardens...which he fills with succulents...I love these Hen and Chicks... and the mossy color of these...
...which were sitting next to this pile of rocks that my dad brings home from fishing trips...this explains a lot of my behavior...
I hope that whatever your Project Life has in store for you today, that you can enjoy it. I'm going to put on some music and clean the kitchen and dance.
I said I'm trying...:)

Hi Suzanne - LOVE the yummy photos! I THINK the flower you asked about may be Lantana (sometimes called the calico plant...here's a Google images link: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=lantana&gbv=2), but I can't be sure. (not sure if it grows that far north...?) It definitely has those same little floral clusters in various shades of pinks...also yellows, oranges and purples.
Hope that helps...
Blessings,
Becky S.

I was thinking it looked like verbena. There are two types of verbena--annual and perennial. I've seen the perennial in purple but not pink(?) Well, that's my 0.02 worth. Just found your blog, it's really lovely.

That plant reminds me of those little paper flowers nosegays, too. Let us know if you find out the name.

Hi Suzanne, I think the flower is Verbena. Here in MD it is an annual but being further south it might be a perennial. I plant the hot pink variety every year in both pots and in the garden.

I put my vote in for the flower being verbena. Lovely pictures and boy can I relate to Project Life right now.
Have a nice day,

Hi Suzanne,
They really DO look like the nosegay flowers. So sweet.
"You've Got Mail" is my #2 all time favorite. My #1 is "Sound of Music."
I'm headed to PA to see my folks this Saturday for a week, including my 103 year old Grandmom ~ good old PA Dutch stock!
I SO ENJOY your blog and am so happy that all is well with you and yours ~ love hearing all about ya'lls coming and goings (especially Elizabeth getting home safely. Yippee!) Perhaps one day our paths will cross. Take care. Blessings, Summerjoy

Dahlink..the pink flower is an annual verbena. The name of this particular cultivar is escaping me at the moment. I have it growing by my front sidewalk.
great shots!

Measure the area of your garden prior to choosing your roses. Compare your width and height measurements with roses you'd like to purchase. Your roses will need plenty of space to grow as well as room for exposure to the air.

beautiful shots. not sure what the flower is - but it's pretty and that's really all that matters. Project Life - love that!

Hello Suzanne,
I don't know if you will read this since it is now December. I have to tell you that now I have to love your father as much as I love you!!! I have always wanted to do a hypertufta garden (sp...my apologies). I love the hens-n-chicks and have them profusely growing in all my gardens. They are my babies...and people come to my house just to get them!!! Love you bunches....Merry Christmas!!!
